Every day, first responders risk their lives for our sake. Police officers face threats at every traffic stop. Firefighters enter structures where temperatures exceed 1,200 degrees. EMS personnel risk exposure to countless hazards.

The technology and equipment to protect them exists, but many departments face budget constraints. A 'gap' often exists between what their annual budget affords and the actual safety needs that will better ensure their personnel's safety. Budget constraints force impossible choices: new equipment or adequate staffing? Updated protective gear or operational costs?
